Sometimes when I’m at my regular neighborhood bar late at night nobody changes the channel on the TVs and the Mecum auto auction comes on. Watching classic cars being auctioned one night led me to a reali zation: the retro styling that needs to come back is tailfins. Really big tailfins.
With our modern understanding of aerodynamics we could even make the tailfins functional instead of purely cosmetic. Or they could be motorized to move with the turn signal. In addition to a flashing light, you get a waving fin. Maybe for a brake stomp both sides flap around wildly.

How do you put tail fins on a crossover hatchback coupe ?

If you can add them to station wagons you can add them to a Sports Utilitiless Coupe.
It even worked on trucks.

I’d be OK with this. Toyota seems to have been sort of testing the waters, they’ve just been afraid to fully commit.

I am not opposed but, in today’s blob obsessed world, there's a risk the result could end up looking like a box fish...

i thought i heard somewhere that so me of the tail fins would generate flift making highway speeds a bit scary. Just a quick google image search and i could see how this one could do such a thing.
and here is your modern day tail fin:

I fucking love this idea, but fins don’t work on SUVS big crossovers.

make ‘em part of an active aero package
